Foster Care Coordinator Pre-Service
The web-based Foster Care Coordinator Pre-Service training is specifically for newly hired foster care coordinators in Wisconsin. It provides a high-level overview of your duties by explaining the process by which children are placed into out-of-home care; the role of the Foster Care Coordinator within a licensing agency and with families; and the licensing process, including documentation requirements.
DCF 56: New Licensors
During this two-day face-to-face training, Chapter DCF 56, Administrative Code will be reviewed in-depth, highlighting recent changes or interpretations and reviewing the implementation of rules. Participants will review all licensing materials as well as discuss licensing questions and foster care related issues. You will register for this training in PDS Online.
Structured Analysis Family Evalutation (SAFE)
The Standardized Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) tool, Consortium for Children’s standardized home study tool, is required for licensing a home for foster care and approval for adoption. Workers conducting home studies and supervisors administering and approve SAFE studies are mandatory to attend training.
